This is a splendid art glass bowl with rich, iridized blue, green, and purple colors featuring an undulating Art Nouveau pattern of swirling contours.  The bowl has a unique oval shape.  The shape and pattern together suggest to me a small boat on top of rippling water contours above swirls of gently undulating seawood and kelp.  Regardless of one's interpretation, it's a beauty.  This bowl was hand blown and signed by artist JOHN BARBER, dated 1987.

This piece is in very good/excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs.  The vase has a very strong and large pontil mark on the bottom from the hand-blown process (please see photo).  One of a kind beautiful art glass piece.  It would make a splendid gift.
